I am a 15-year resident of Cobb County. As a single mom, I have raised 2 children in the Six Flags Drive/Riverside Parkway area. My oldest is a recent college graduate who directs and managed her own nonprofit entity and my son is a senior in high school.

 

As an active member of my community. I have advocated on issues that impact working families, seniors, and veterans. My courage, determination, and leadership in the Cobb area has been recognized by others and has garnered me 21 distinguished awards and recognitions. Among them are:

 

Cobb NAACP’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Living the Dream Award

 

Cobb Collaborative Volunteer of the Year Nominee

In addition to being involved in education advocacy, I am the organizer of “We Thrive on Riverside Renters Association”, an entity that has received national recognition for our efforts to empower local communities. Because of my leadership and advocacy, local families have improved access to resources to hold apartment managers accountable.
